| Thallus off-white to pale greenish white, thin, uneven, dull. Ascomata lirelliform, numerous, conspicuous, scattered to crowded, immersed, open, straight, curved or sinuous, sometimes branched, 1–2 (–3) mm long, 0.1–0.4 mm wide, with a very thin thalline margin. Proper exciple laterally carbonised, rarely almost completely carbonised. Epihymenium reddish brown to matt black, epruinose or lightly pruinose. Hymenium 100–125 µm thick. Hypothecium persistently pale. Ascospores 4 (–5) per ascus, muriform, 8–14 × 2–4 (–5)-locular, 30–50 × (14–) 16–22 µm. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |
